Which One Are You? Black Coffee or Caramel Machiato?

I'm at Starbucks right now, skipping my office and still trying to complete few tasks which I should had it done few days ago.

Now it's 1 PM, and a bunch of office staff nearby, some Europe, most of them are Indonesianese, are now queing to order snacks and coffee. This is my 2nd cuppa coffee. The barista had offered me sort of product promotion. For every Rp. 25K (more or less 1.8 USD) I spend, I'll get a free cup of coffee. Black coffee. For those of you who never drinks any Starbucks coffee, especially black coffee, it's a very strong taste of coffee and bitter for sure. Unlike the other flavour of Starbucks coffee, adding more liquid sugar won't help that much, instead you'll get an odd-coffee taste

I took a seat near plug with nice-room view, by then watching them buying various foods and drinks. I don't see any, take the promo like I did. Or maybe I just missed or else. But why do they have to take a promotion like me? They know what they want at the price they can pay. But do we know our price?

Do we know how expensive we are, our value?

If you know what your price is, u should be glad because you'll keep yourself away from people with "promo/ discount mentality" like me. Do not judge yourself too low. People are willing to pay you higher than what you thought.

It's New Year, Is it New You?

It's 2011 now, the 1st January of 2011.

How are you doing? How close you are now with what your target a year ago? How happy are you right now?

How rich are you right now? How big and smart are you right now compare to last year?

Now we all are in new year whereby we usually do make target and priority, let's not forget review of what we are goin to fulfill in 2012.

I am now in middle of watching 'Catatan Si Boy' on television, remake of a very famous 90's movie in Indonesia. The movie tell story about a journey of a group of young people which deals with cars, drag race and all the automobile stufs. Unlike the other car-movies, the main character, Satriyo is a very generous and kind man. He's kinda man that would break the rules to stand up for right things for his friends. In other words, Satriyo is a macho-genuine-heroic guy! :)

What about you? What about us? Do we have to be like Satriyo to gain what we wants?

We don't need to be like that-injured during fight for what we believe and dare to gain-. In this beloved new year, let us start it with new passion, new hope, clear and sober mind, so that we would stand in front beyond others and competitors.
